Full Job Description

The roles will be based on site in Stirling area.


As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor,You will work closely with our experienced Quantity Surveyors and project teams to manage the financial aspects of our developments, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Cost Estimation: Assisting in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and other related expenses.
  • Budget Management: Supporting the monitoring and management of project budgets to ensure cost control and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Procurement: Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, obtaining competitive quotes, and negotiating contracts.
  • Contract Administration: Assisting with contract administration tasks, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and assessing potential risks related to cost and finances and proposing mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in cost estimating and budget management.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • The ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of social housing development is a plus.
