We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Site Manager to join a 5-star award-winning national housebuilder for developments in East Central Scotland. You will play a crucial role in the successful completion of their new residential development projects.
This well known housebuilder is a renowned and well-established housebuilder with a strong track record of delivering exceptional new build homes. Role and Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with the Site Manager and support the smooth running of the construction site. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Health and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment for all workers and visitors.
- Site Operations: Assist the Site Manager in coordinating all aspects of the construction process, including managing subcontractors, scheduling deliveries, and monitoring progress.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly to ensure the build meets or exceeds the company's and industry's standards.
- Team Management: Support and guide the site team, including tradespeople and laborers, fostering teamwork, and motivating the workforce to achieve project milestones.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication between various stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and other team members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, reports, and paperwork, assisting with project documentation and compliance.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve challenges that arise during the construction process to minimise delays and keep the project on track.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably in new build residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in construction management or related fields are essential SMSTS CSCS and an HNC or equivalent.
