What you will do:

You will be based at North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership, Cunninghame House, Irvine, however you will spend majority of your hours within a school establishment providing administration duties associated with the National School Immunisation Programme.  Therefore you must have access to a motor vehicle, hold a full driving licence, and be willing to travel to any Ayrshire & Arran school as and when cover is required.  You must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the department and be willing to undertake development of skill and competency as necessary.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

As a member of the Pan Ayrshire Child Health Administration Team working within NHS Ayrshire & Arran, you will be committed to providing a good standard of administration duties whilst supporting the School Immunisation Team. 

  • A good working  knowledge of the Community Health Index and all Community and Preventative Care Systems (satellite systems) operated within the NHS in Scotland is desirable.
  • You will be educated Standard Grade level or equivalent plus, previous clerical/secretarial experience.
  • Must have proven numeracy, keyboard and verbal skills as well as a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel packages are essential.
  • A good team player with excellent communication skills is required along with the ability to pay attention to detail and adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines.
  • Be self-motivating, be able to work on own initiative as well as a team player.
  • Full driving licence, and access to a motor vehicle is essential and be willing to travel to any Ayrshire & Arran school as and when cover is required.

 Hours:

These are Bank position posts within the Child Health Service. Hours are routinely required on an adhoc basis between the months of September and December on an annual basis.
