Overview Biomedical Engineers design, build and maintain medical devices, prosthetics, diagnostic equipment and bioinformatics tools. Day-to-day work consists of CAD modelling, finite element analysis, regulatory compliance (MDR), clinical trials support and cross-disciplinary collaboration with clinicians, biologists and software engineers. Typical Roles

  • Design medical devices, prosthetics and diagnostic equipment
  • Run regulatory compliance to MDR (Medical Device Regulation) standards
  • Specialise in clinical engineering, medical device R&D, prosthetics or bioinformatics
