Bookkeeper

P&L Recruitment are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a growing Accountancy Firm based in South Lanarkshire, to recruit a Bookkeeper on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience working within an Accountancy Practice. This is a varied role which can offer progression in a small friendly team. Hybrid working can also be offered - 2 days work from home and 3 days based in the office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Managing own set of clients in preparing working papers, financial statements
• Bookkeeping duties
• Preparing monthly/quarterly management accounts.
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Using a wide range of software such as Xero, Sage, Quickbooks, Taxcalc and Engager
• Assisting the Accountant

Requirements:

• Previous bookkeeping experience is essential
• Ideally have worked within an Accountancy Practice
• Ideally have experience with Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
