Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Qualification: Business and Administration SCQF Level 6 Modern Apprenticeship

Global Wire & Inspections Ltd is looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our team in Ellon. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a Business and Administration SCQF Level 6 Modern Apprenticeship.

Global Wire & Inspections Ltd provides specialist inspection, testing and equipment services to clients across the marine, offshore, renewables and construction sectors. Operating on a global scale, we pride ourselves on delivering high standards of quality and customer service.

As part of our busy office team, no two days are the same. You'll be involved in a variety of tasks including organising worldwide travel, communicating with clients, preparing documentation and supporting projects across multiple industries.

From day one, you'll play an important role within the business and receive support from experienced colleagues who will help you develop valuable skills and confidence for your future career.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Administration Apprentice, your duties will include:

  • Coordinating travel arrangements including flights, accommodation, hire cars and visa applications.
  • Liaising with clients regarding upcoming vessel and site work.
  • Obtaining prices from suppliers and preparing quotations for customers.
  • Creating certification documents, reports and delivery notes.
  • Uploading certification to client databases.
  • Opening new jobs and maintaining accurate electronic job folders.
  • Monitoring and recording job-related costs.
  • Assisting with invoicing activities.
  • Ordering PPE and other supplies.
  • Tracking personnel movements and availability.
  • Booking training courses for technicians and staff.
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider team.

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

  • Has good attention to detail.
  • Is comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrates reliability, professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • National 5 qualifications (or equivalent) in English and Maths would be advantageous, but are not essential.
