Full Job Description
Job purpose: This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Quality & Regulatory Compliance (QARC) Team as a Business Administration Apprentice and to begin your career with a highly respected and well-established organisation in the whisky industry. You will gain valuable workplace experience while working towards a recognised Business & Administration Apprenticeship qualification.
The successful candidate will work directly alongside the Quality & Regulatory Compliance Manager, receiving one to one mentoring and coaching whilst gaining hands-on experience across quality compliance, customer requirements , audits, continuous improvement and manufacturing operations.
The role offers far more than a traditional administration apprenticeship. You will become involved in real business projects, work with multiple departments across the organisation and develop valuable skills in quality management, data analysis, problem solving and compliance.

What will I learn? During your apprenticeship, you will develop a broad range of practical and transferable workplace skills, including:
You will work with and be mentored by the Quality & Regulatory Compliance Manager
Gain practical experience that goes beyond a standard administrator role
Develop advanced Microsoft Excel, reporting and analytical skills
Participate in audits, investigations and continuous improvement projects
Work with teams across Production, Warehousing, Customer Service & NPD
Gain a recognised Business Administration qualification whilst earning and learning
Build Knowledge that could lead to future careers within Quality, Compliance, Technical, Operations or Management
You will maintain quality records, databases & controlled documentation
You will prepare reports and analyse data using MS Excel and Word
You will support audit preparation and follow-up activities
Assist with customer complaints, investigations and corrective actions
Support traceability exercises and compliance activities
Provide support and cover for members of the Quality Team
Work on improvement projects and business initiatives
What qualifications or qualities are required? We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and keen to learn. The ideal candidate will have :
Excellent attention to detail
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Good Organisational & Communication Skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications in English and Maths, or equivalent, would be beneficial. Previous administrative experience gained through part-time work, volunteering or work experience would also be an advantage, but is not essential.
Most importantly, you should take pride in producing high-quality work and be keen to develop professionally through the apprenticeship.
