Business Consulting Manager

Are you ready to take ownership of complex IT infrastructure delivery in a high-impact environment while helping shape pragmatic, sustainable technology strategies? Our Technology Consulting practice supports clients through complex IT separation, transition and transformation programmes, helping them design and deliver scalable, cost-effective IT solutions aligned to business needs. As an IT Infrastructure Project Manager, you will play a key role in defining both technical and financial strategies and delivering end-to-end infrastructure services for a standalone operational environment. This is a 6-month fixed term contract, working full-time, with regular on-site presence required near Prestwick in West Scotland to collaborate with partners and delivery teams. What you'll be doing:

• Leading IT infrastructure projects from initiation through to delivery, transition and handover into live operations.
• Supporting the development of technology strategies and Financial Operations approaches aligned to business requirements and scale.
• Planning and coordinating deployment of core IT services including networks, hosting platforms, Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), Identity and Access Management (IAM) and digital workplace solutions.
• Managing third-party vendors and delivery partners, including procurement support, coordination and performance oversight.
• Overseeing deployment readiness, cutover activities and transition into operational service management models.
• Tracking risks, issues, dependencies and delivery milestones, ensuring clear and transparent reporting to stakeholders.
What you'll bring:
• Strong project management experience delivering IT infrastructure projects in complex environments.
• Good understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure including networks, hosting, digital workplace and IAM.
• Knowledge of ITSM concepts and structured delivery frameworks such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and coordinating multi-vendor delivery.
• Ability to manage technical workstreams while balancing cost, risk and performance considerations.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to produce structured project artefacts such as plans, RAID logs and roadmaps.
It would be great if you had:
• Experience supporting IT separations, transitions or standalone environment builds.
• Experience working within consulting, systems integration or large transformation programmes.
• Awareness of Financial Operations principles, particularly in cloud environments.
• Experience designing or supporting operational service models and service transition activities.
