As part of this transformation, NSS and NES have joined to form a new organisation: Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long-term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland.
About the Organisation:
PSD Scotland unites expertise from NES and NSS in a way that will allow us to accelerate national programmes to support the NHS to deliver better care, now and in the future.
We support staff with education and training, provide the tools and data that improve services, and run vital national functions such as procurement, logistics and blood, tissue and cell services., This is an exciting opportunity to join TCAT (Tissues, Cells & Advanced Therapeutics) which is a directorate of the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) as a Business Support Officer. The successful candidate will be expected primarily to provide administrative support for the new contract with NHS England for provision of reproductive tissue which will involve liaising with various UK hospitals.
The postholder will also work as part of the TCAT business support team supporting delivery of a comprehensive business support service for TCAT across all departmental functions to support the delivery of the TCAT business plans and strategic objectives. This will include provision of administrative support to the TCAT senior managers - a key element of this being raising invoices and to ensure projects track budgets.
Other duties will include organisation of, and accurate minute taking for complex high level meetings.
Applicants should have a degree in Office/Business Administration or related subject, as well as accuracy and attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Training and experience to an equivalent level would be accepted. Applicants must be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a business management or finance environment within a large organisation and have a good working knowledge of the range of MO365 products. Experience of working in the healthcare field is beneficial.
