Business Systems Manager

A leading construction firm is seeking a Business Systems Manager to oversee the management of document control and administration function across the Scottish business unit. The successful candidate will lead a team of system controllers, managing performance within a matrix structure, and will be responsible for maintaining resource levels and overseeing training. A commitment to continual review and improvement of business systems and administrative processes is essential, ensuring they remain efficient and effective.

Responsibilities include conducting research, compiling data, preparing presentations for business leadership, and maintaining confidentiality. The role also involves being a positive ambassador for the company, fostering supportive internal relationships, and ensuring HR policies are administered in accordance with company procedures.

The role requires staying well-informed of developments in Integrated Management systems, organising audits, and supporting the projects and business functions in line with the business plan. Additionally, the Business Systems Manager will evaluate and implement development needs for direct reports, provide training, and manage company assets such as mobiles and iPads.

Candidates should possess internal audit training, Level 3 EAT certification (both preferred), and experience in setting up electronic document management and business management systems; Examples include Viewpoint, SIMS.

Please note this role requires travel across Scotland, including areas such as North Lanarkshire, East Dunbartonshire, North Ayrshire, Edinburgh, Dumfries therefore the candidate must have a valid UK Driving License.
