36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, Fixed Term for 24 months (from start date)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Transformation Lead to help drive the council’s Modernisation and Transformation agenda. As a key member of the Corporate Transformation Team, you will provide expert guidance and challenge across a portfolio of change activity enabling the organisation and individual service areas to move forward and deliver approved programmes of improvement, redesign, and digital transformation.
The post-holder will provide dedicated strategic support to Operational Services, providing the Head of Service with a comprehensive support service by managing a range of activities related to the development and implementation of service priorities, policies, strategies, initiatives and governance. You will bring strong programme management expertise, and a deep understanding of service design, change management, and business improvement, ensuring that change activity is well governed, evidence based and aligned to strategic priorities. Key complex change projects will include Decriminalised Parking Enforcement, Review of Passenger Transport and a review of key IT systems which support Operational Services activities.
This is a role for someone who can influence, challenge and inspire, helping services turn ambition into well designed, well governed and achievable change.
Educated to degree level, you will be familiar with delivering complex projects within a challenging environment with strong programme/project management, service design or organisational change experience.
An excellent communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills, you will be confident working with senior managers and other key stakeholders, with the ability to influence effectively. The postholder will also have demonstratable analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
The post is for a two-year fixed term. Secondments will be considered.
