Care Assistant Job in Selkirk, The Scottish Borders (TD7)

£15.07 to £16.68 per hour. Full time and part time flexible shifts available.

About the role

Newcross Healthcare is recruiting experienced Care Assistants in Selkirk to provide high quality care in care homes and local community settings.

You will support people with daily living, promote independence and help them live safely and comfortably.

Your responsibilities

• Provide personal care and practical daily support.
  
• Assist with moving and handling where required.
  
• Promote dignity, comfort and wellbeing at all times.
  
• Work as part of a wider care team to deliver person centred support.
  

What you need

• Right to work in the UK.
  
• At least 6 months paid UK care experience in the last 3 years, including personal care and moving and handling.
  
• Registration for applicants in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland such as SSSC, SCW or NISSC. This is not required in England.
  
• Strong communication and people skills.
  
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
