Care Assistant (Nights)

This post is for 33.5 hours and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked. Queens Quay House is a modern 84-bed care home providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. We are looking for caring, compassionate and motivated individuals to join our established team as Care Assistants. As a Care Assistant (Nights), you will work as part of a dedicated care team to deliver person-centred care and support to residents throughout the night. You will promote dignity, independence and wellbeing, encouraging meaningful activity, social interaction and engagement throughout the day. Key responsibilities include: - Supporting residents with their individual care and support needs. - Contributing to electronic care records and care planning. - Working collaboratively with colleagues, residents and families. - Providing updates and information to families and loved ones. - Ensuring high standards of care in line with current legislation, best practice and Council policies. - Supporting residents to maintain choice, independence and quality of life. - Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment. The annual salary is enhanced by an additional 33% shift allowance for employees working a rotational shift pattern. The successful candidates should hold an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 6 or SVQ 2 Health and Social Care or be willing to undertake in post within 3 months., The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
