Full Job Description

  • Provide excellent guest service by discovering all of our guests needs and acting on these needs promptly, effectively and with confidence.
  • Ensure that guest expectations are exceeded and standards are consistently maintained.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all departments to ensure seamless transfer of information takes place.
  • To be fully conversant with all restaurant/hotels policies and procedures.
  • When fully competent, to take ownership of the Club Lounge and work with the Manager to make improvements.
  • Help other F&B departments when needed

    We are looking for a confident individual who is capable to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team and has a strong desire to improve on their skills and knowledge as well as, Food & Beverage Service Experience required
  • Previous experience in a client facing role within a luxury five star environment a distinct advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours
  • Impeccable personal presentation
  • Ability to handle stress and cope with the pressures of the job as and when they occur
  • Ability to deal with and adapt to unexpected situations: complaints, change
  • Ability to motivate yourself at quieter times

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Casual Club Lounge Server to join our Club Lounge/In room Dining Team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa. The Club Lounge is an exclusive space for our VIPs to enjoy some drinks and canapés. Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels. As the largest 5 star hotel, we also have the biggest banqueting and meeting facilities of any hotel in Edinburgh with a capacity of up to 500 and our One Square Restaurant and bar.
