Full Job Description
Job purpose: THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION INTENDED FOR A RECENT SCHOOL OR COLLEGE LEAVER LOOKING TO START IN THE WORLD OF WORK.

An established, reputable legal and tax planning firm in Edinburgh have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Modern Apprentice in their Charities Team. Full training will be given on the job and you will be supported through your SVQ throughout.
This company prides themselves on their renowned reputation and the service they provide for their clients which has been built up over generations.
Please note this is an initial 12 month contract but the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent role in the company for the right candidate.
This entry level role will include the following responsibilities:
🔷Handling written, email and telephone enquiries from clients, members of the public and other stakeholders
🔷Ensuring enquiries are responded to appropriately and efficiently
🔷Supporting with preparing papers, correspondence and documents for meetings, ensuring all materials supplied are accurate and issued ahead of time
🔷Supporting with processing income payments and receipts
🔷Helping to monitor and track daily and ongoing tasks to show progress
🔷Answering departmental calls and emails
🔷Managing diaries
🔷Photocopying and printing as required

What will I learn? 🔶You will be working towards a Level 6 Business and Administration SVQ while you learn on the job and will be supported throughout.
🔶You will be adhering to company procedures and working as part of a team to ensure quality and communicating with the team and with clients to maintain quality service and good reputation.
🔶You will learn about the importance of confidentiality and trust in an administrative role.
What qualifications or qualities are required? The most important thing is enthusiasm and a hardworking attitude but the client is looking for the following:
🔷High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
🔷Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) is required
🔷Ability to maintain confidentiality as you will be exposed to highly sensitive information
🔷Strong administrative and organisational skills plus the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload is required
🔷Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Power
Point. (Full Training will be provided for all internal systems)
🔷Flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team
🔷Ability to work to tight deadlines
🔷Reliability with a business-like attitude to the work involved
🔷Experience in dealing with employees, and clients via email, phone and face to face would be advantageous
🔷Experience and an interest in event management is also advantageous
