Eden Scott is delighted to support an exciting Edinburgh-based Private Equity-backed technology venture as they look to recruit a Chief Technology Officer.
Their patented range of sensor-based products combines cutting-edge electronics and IoT technology, offering valuable insights that empower users to make informed decisions, enhancing productivity and sustainability.
Position Overview
As their Chief Technology Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the organisation's R&D function, driving both the strategic vision and day-to-day operations. You'll champion innovation in sensor and IoT technology, actively shaping the entire product development process-from concept through to product launch.
This hands-on role will involve:
- Driving hardware and software innovation to ensure seamless progression from concept to delivery.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders and customers to influence the design and functionality of their sensor-based technology.
- Overseeing product lifecycle management, ensuring new solutions meet market needs and align with strategic goals.
- Leading next-generation New Product Development (NPD) activities, incorporating advanced sensing technology to develop innovative solutions.
- Continuously refining and enhancing existing products while staying at the forefront of technological advancements within key sectors.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a dynamic startup environment, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- A solutions-focused mindset, capable of addressing complex technical challenges hands-on.
- A proven track record of leading R&D teams, particularly in hardware, electronics, and IoT technology.
- The ability to commute regularly to their Edinburgh facilities and a willingness to meet customers in the field.
- A background in mechanical or industrial design would be advantageous.
