Summary


ADVERT:


Children's Services Support Worker, Uist (3971)


20 hours per week, permanent post


£19,691 to £21,276 per annum, inclusive of £1,620 Distant Islands Allowance


Required to support the inclusion, attainment and achievement of vulnerable children and young people in school, home and community settings through direct work with children and young people, their families, and other support staff, as part of an Integrated Children's Services approach.


You must be educated to HNC level in a relevant area (Education, Social Work, Psychology or Health) or equivalent vocational qualification or relevant work experience. You will have practical experience of working with young people who are particularly vulnerable in terms of social, emotional, behavioural, learning or family difficulties.


It is essential that you hold a full, clean, unrestricted UK driving licence.


This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children (


Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme - mygov.scot).


Interviews will be conducted in person, providing candidates with the chance to personally meet the team and experience our work environment.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
