The Role

Are you looking for a practical, active role where you can make a real difference to the environment and your local community? We are looking for a motivated Civic Amenity Attendant to join our frontline Waste Services team.

You will be the face of the service, helping the public recycle effectively and ensuring our site runs safely and efficiently. If you enjoy working outdoors, interacting with people, and playing a part in Falkirk’s green future, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Community Support: Advising and assisting residents on how to use the site to maximise recycling and recovery.

Site Coordination: Managing container exchanges and site logistics to ensure we always have the capacity to process materials.

Digital Operations: Using mobile devices to manage bookings and maintain accurate site records.

Resource Management: Supporting operations at our Resource Hub and MRF processing as needed.

Safety & Standards: Maintaining a tidy, professional site and ensuring the highest standards of Health & Safety for yourself and the public.

The ability to work as part of a busy team and follow site processes accurately.

A commitment to safety and environmental best practices.

Willingness to undertake training for Plant & Equipment, First Aid, and Fire Warden duties.

This position is based at Kinniel HWRC; however, you may be required to cover other facilities, (Roughmute & MF).

The current working pattern is:

 Saturday-Wednesday, 1000 – 1800, in line with Kinniel opening hours.
