Position Overview
As a Civils Foreperson, you will possess outstanding interpersonal skills, a strong sense of teamwork, and a flexible approach to business objectives and change. * Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, risk assessments, and method statements
* Promote and maintain a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across all site activities
* Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and daily planning activities with operational teams
* Monitor progress against programme requirements and communicate any issues, delays, or resource requirements to management
* Maintain site records and documentation, including daily diaries, inspections, and quality checks
* Liaise professionally with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery
* Take a proactive, hands-on approach to supporting and directing site teams, providing guidance and mentoring where required

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

* Extensive operational experience within civil engineering, construction, groundworks, infrastructure, drainage, roads, utilities, or related sectors
* Strong working knowledge of construction methods, industry best practice, and relevant legislation
* Proven ability to manage frontline resources and optimise outputs, efficiency, quality, and profitability
* Competent in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop site teams
* A practical, hands-on approach with the confidence to instruct, direct, and support operatives on site
* Good organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet project deadlines

Benefits

* A tailored, competitive salary
* Company use van
* Company Pension Scheme
* 33 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays
* Share Saver Scheme participation
* Company Life Assurance Scheme
* Access to our Employee Assistance Programme for health and wellbeing support
