Class 2 HGV Driver

TradeChoice Carpet & Flooring is looking for an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our busy distribution and warehouse team at our Glasgow branch. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our branches receive stock safely, efficiently, and on time, helping us deliver outstanding service to customers across the network.

What You'll Be Doing

As one of our drivers, you'll be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of stock while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Safely loading and unloading your vehicle, ensuring all goods are secured correctly for transit.

- Completing multi-drop deliveries efficiently and professionally.

- Carrying out delivery checks and obtaining customer signatures upon receipt.

- Adhering to all tachograph, transport, and health & safety regulations.

- Keeping your vehicle clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.

- Reporting any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents promptly and in line with company procedures.

- Completing daily vehicle inspections and submitting documentation accurately.

- Taking ownership of vehicle servicing, MOT schedules, and routine inspections.

- Supporting warehouse operations when required and working collaboratively with the wider team.

You'll need:

A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV Licence

A valid Driver CPC Qualification

A good understanding of road transport regulations and safe driving practices

The ability to undertake physical duties, including loading and unloading stock

Excellent time management and organisational skills

A positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

A strong focus on safety, customer service, and professionalism
