Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions are looking for a Site Supervisor to manage teams of Cleaning Operatives over 4 sites (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk and Motherwell) ensuring the cleaning service meets the service quality standards and customer expectations. About the role Managing up to 23 members of staff, across the 4 sites, you will lead and control the delivery of cleaning service to ensure the service standards are consistently met, build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for service improvement. Accountabilities

  • Supervise a team of Cleaning Operatives, effectively planning and utilising resources to ensure a consistent and high quality service. Manage team performance through coaching, training, and development.
  • Work with the Soft Services Manager (SSM) to support financial budgets, identifying savings through the reduction of overtime, surplus hours and absenteeism.
  • Support the SSM in the delivery of the regional financial business plan by developing and implementing initiatives to reduce material, costs and improve operational efficiency.
  • Act as the lead contact for FM related issues, escalations, and underperformance across the sites.
  • Manage stock, resources, ensuring minimal disruption and unnecessary costs.
  • Support energy and environmental policies and objectives through monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all weekly site inspections are completed accurately and on time, with appropriate action plans developed.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and policies, all accidents, incidents, or breaches of safety and security are recorded, reported and investigated.
  • Provide cover for the SSM when required, including annual leave and other planned absences.
  • Due to the multi-site nature and extensive travel requirements of this role, you must be based within the G, EH, ML or FK postcode areas.
  • A work vehicle is provided, for work purposes only/ travel to the sites (not for private use). Attendance Predominately Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and infrequent ad-hoc weekend attendance. Flexibility is essential as you will be required to manage cleaning teams across the early (from 6am), late (from 2pm) and night (from 10pm) shift.

  • Experience of managing large teams of Cleaning Operatives to include performance management, training and developing (essential).
  • From a Soft Services FM background.
  • H&S knowledge including COSHH and experience of cleaning methods such as BICS.
  • Ability to build and develop relationships with key customers, add value and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Strong IT skills e.g. Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • A Full valid UK manual driving licence.
