We are looking for a Clerical Officer to receive and process licence applications and to aid the Registration Service in relation to the registration of deaths and births. The Clerical Officer is responsible for providing business information and support to both internal and external customers in compliance with statutory requirements. This will include liaising with Elected Members, Community Councils, applicants and other relevant stakeholders.

The postholder will process all categories of licence applications and permissions, including civic government licences and liquor licensing matters, ensuring accurate handling of paperwork, payments and statutory checks. They will also provide administrative support to the Registration Service, assisting with tasks connected to the registration of births and deaths and supporting the effective delivery of the wider service.

The postholder will provide an efficient clerical and administrative support across Licensing and Registration Services, ensuring accurate processing, strong customer service and compliance within Legal, Democratic and Strategy. Delivering an excellent customer service and advice in a professional and polite manner.

This post is permanent and static based.

Location: Dalziel Building, Motherwell

Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday, 08:45 - 16:45

Friday, 08:45 - 16:15
