Full Job Description

Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who is looking to add a CNC Machinist (Turner) to their team on a permanent basis. You'll be based in the Ayrshire area.

Hours:

Dayshift: Monday - Thursday 6am - 2.30pm, Friday 6am - 1.30pm
Backshift: Monday - Wednesday 2.30pm - 1am, Thursday 2.30pm - 12am (midnight)

Hourly Rate: 18p/hour

Overtime: Monday - Saturday 1.5x, Sunday 2x, Shift Allowance 30% on backshift

Daily Duties -

Set up, operate, and programme CNC Machine to the required standard adhering to engineering drawings and specifications
Conduct pre-use visual checks on machines to ensure equipment is fit for purpose
Report all non-conforming material/product to the Supervisor and record work activity on job cards and production reports
Carry out the inspection on the manufactured component before releasing
Ensure processes are carried out in accordance with company procedures and correctly booking on/off jobs

Candidate Requirements -

Time-served or relevant engineering qualifications
Basic programming on machine e.g. Fanuc/Mazak
Previous experience within a machine shop environment
