Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office - Perth, Aberdeen, InvernessSalary: 64,085 - 76,581 + car /car allowance + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options availableThe roleJoin SSEN Transmission as a Commissioning Support Engineer and play a key role in delivering major projects across Scotland that will help build a cleaner, more secure energy future.You'll be at the heart of bringing critical electricity infrastructure into service, commissioning substations, circuits and associated assets while ensuring every installation meets the highest technical, safety and compliance standards.You willSupport Transmission Operations to safely deliver Transmission projects and customer connections onto the SSE Transmission NetworkEnsure compliance with System

Operator Transmission Owner Code (STC), SSEN Technical and Quality Standards, ESQCR Standards, Commissioning Processes, CDM regulations.Ensure the projects are developed and delivered to the appropriate Technical and Quality Standards as set out in the Project Commissioning Plan, whilst identifying opportunities for business improvementsWork closely with various internal and external stakeholders ensuring clear communication and ensuring standards are met in relation to company rules and regulationsChair Commissioning Panel Meetings, Project Safety Reviews and attend Design, Outage, NESO Compliance, Project Assurance and Programme reviewsYou haveAn electrical engineering degree or relevant experience, with strong knowledge and understanding of electrical power systems and the related operating standards.Experience in the electricity Transmission industry: strong commissioning, engineering and construction knowledgeAn understanding of the STC Codes of Practice, Grid Code, Outage Planning,
System Planning etc.The ability to work alone or with a diverse team of multi-disciplined engineers and managers.A full driver's licence. This role covers the whole of the SSE Transmission Network therefore an amount of travelling will be expected of the successful applicant.
