Construction Operations Manager

Projects typically range from £200k–£300k and span general roads, bridges, culverts, barriers, and traffic management.

Now, as the current leadership team begins planning for the future, they’re seeking a Senior Construction Manager / Operations Manager / General Manager, to take a lead in operations and bring fresh ideas to improve efficiency, consistency, and profitability across their works portfolio.

The role will need you to;

• Lead all project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and programme compliance across multiple concurrent sites.
• Work closely with clients, sub-contractors, and internal teams, maintaining the strong reputation built over decades.
• Drive continuous improvement across operations, identifying ways to streamline delivery and increase commercial performance.
• Support and mentor contract managers and site teams, helping develop capability and confidence across the business.
• Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all external dealings.

Your background;

• A proven track record in civil engineering—ideally with experience in highways, local authority, or infrastructure works.
• Hands-on management skills suited to a fast-paced, small-company environment where adaptability counts.
• Technical or academic qualifications (Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or similar).
• Strong leadership, communication, and commercial awareness.
