Experteer Overview As a Controls System Design Engineer, you will lead the integration and delivery of bespoke control systems for Aggreko's energy projects. You will develop standardized PLC and HMI applications using CODESYS, and translate project needs into robust, maintainable software. You'll validate solutions before deployment and provide remote technical support to engineering teams. This role sits at the heart of delivering reliable energy services across events, mining, and remote communities. You'll work with cross-functional teams to shape scalable control solutions that drive customer outcomes. Pay / Benefits
- Develop PLC and HMI applications using CODESYS and company libraries Configure standard control solutions to match project requirements Create high-quality, maintainable and well-documented software Validate and test solutions prior to project release Tasks Experience in PLC development with CODESYS or IEC 61131-3 platforms Proficient in operator interfaces (HMI/SCADA) Strong understanding of industrial automation and electrical control systems Ability to interpret electrical schematics, control philosophies and specs Knowledge of industrial networks: Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP, Profinet or CAN Experience selecting and integrating control hardware, I/O and networking Strong analytical and fault-finding skills Excellent remote technical communication with engineering teams Key requirements competitive salary pension plan bonus scheme Life Assurance Hybrid working generous holiday entitlement
