Cook

We are looking for an experienced cook to work at our care home in Annan three days per week and one day a week at our home in Eccelfechan.

You must be a caring person, although primarily based in the kitchen you will interact with our residents as we believe firmly in full team inclusion. You will need to have good communication skills, have previous experience of leading a kitchen team and cooking to a high standard, knowledge of IDDIS levels is an advantage, hold a food hygiene certificate but full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

What you will be doing as a cook As a cook at Mead Care, you will be primarily responsible for providing balanced nutritional meals of a high quality, suitable for our residents and their dietary needs within an approved budget, we provide home cooked meals and baking in all our homes. The smooth day to day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with current regulations.
