Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team of Support Services staff within the Catering Department at Stratheden Hospital. Duties include preparing, producing and presenting the menu items required for the food service to patients, staff and visitors and assisting with maintaining a clean safe working environment for the delivery of the catering service. 

An up to date Food Hygiene Certificate, knowledge of current Food Safety Legislation and HACCP, relevant catering qualifications, City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.  

Previous experience of working within a large scale catering environment would be an advantage. 
A degree of flexibility is essential to the post, as you may be required to cover for annual leave or sickness absence. 

This post will involve working weekends. 

Uniform and PPE are supplied, inclusion to the workplace pension scheme, and family friendly policies. The hourly rate is £13.20, enhanced rates of pay for working at weekends +37% Saturday and +74% Sunday also generous holiday entitlement, on commencement 27days and 8 Public Holidays. 

The hours will be worked 5 days over 7 to cover the needs of the service, a range of shifts are as follows, earliest start 6.30am to 2.30pm, 8.30am to 430pm and 10am to 6pm. The post will involve working mainly at Stratheden but there is a requirement to cover some shifts at St Andrews Community Hospital to suit the needs of the service.
