Cook: Retirement Housing with Meals

Cook Position in Airdrie!

Are you looking for a challenging role where you can learn new skills and deliver great food? Are you experienced in catering and managing dietary requirements?

The role of a chef/cook within our Airdrie devopemnt is more than just cooking. You will be working with our team to provide a high quality of life for those that need it.

This role requires working flexibly across all developments within the local hub in line with service needs, ensuring continuity and consistency for our tenants.

Hours of employment

21 hours a week - Monday Tuesday and sundays - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm 

There will be the expectation of flexibility when service needs require. you will be predominately based at Broomfield Gardens, however, may also have to cover at East Stewart.

You will be - 

• Responsible for the provision of a flexible meals service, offering high quality, freshly prepared meals and value for money to tenants in a retirement housing service.
• assisting with the ordering, purchasing and storing of food commodities working within the food
• budget.
• ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety standards set by Bield and where appropriate outside regulators are met and actively promote such standards within the development.
