Corporate Support Manager | Full time | 35 hours
Salary: £42,765 - £46,051
Hours: 35 hours per week | Monday - Friday
Location: National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh

About the Corporate Support Manager role:
Corporate Support Manager is integral to the National Museums Scotland playing a vital role at the heart of the organisation ensuring a consistent approach to business processes. You will be working with the Executive Team and Board of Trustees, supporting our relationships internally and externally including with the Scottish Government Culture Liaison team. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about the arts, history, heritage and corporate governance with good organisational skills.
As our Corporate Support Manager at National Museums Scotland you will:
* Co-ordinate the development of the Strategic Plan
* Provide a framework for, and supporting the development and communication of, departmental plans and relevant performance measures
* Facilitate the development of other key corporate policies and procedures (e.g. Gaelic Language Plan)
* Support the Board of Trustees and the Executive Team in the fulfilment of their responsibilities for the corporate governance of National Museums Scotland
* Horizon scan and communicate up-to-date understanding of national and sector policy developments, ensuring the organisation responds accordingly and contributes to the formation of policy through consultations and networks
* Provide administration and secretarial support for Board of Trustee meetings
* Line manage our Executive Assistants.
Skills and experience we’re looking for in our Corporate Support Manager:
* Extensive experience in Business Administration
* Experience of providing support and guidance for the corporate governance of a large organisation
* Able to develop, implement and operate a comprehensive performance management approach to corporate planning and delivery
* Up-to-date knowledge of corporate planning and business performance processes
* Good knowledge of corporate governance issues
* Good knowledge of the public policy agenda for heritage/leisure/arts/culture in Scotland
