Your new company
Based on the outskirts of Falkirk, our client is recruiting for a Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team within a business that places a strong emphasis on employee wellbeing and development. Working from modern offices with free on-site parking and excellent facilities, you will join a collaborative and supportive environment where your contribution will be recognised and rewarded. The hours of work are Monday - Friday 8am-4pm, and there is flexibility with the start and finish times.
Your new role
Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are collected in a timely manner and strong working relationships are maintained across both customers and internal stakeholders.Key responsibilities will include:* Managing outstanding debt and collecting overdue balances
* Allocations
* Reconciling accounts and resolving account discrepancies
* Producing statements
* Handling and resolving invoice queries
* Monitoring credit limits
* Liaising with different internal teams to resolve issues
* Producing reports and supporting month-end reporting requirements
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, ideally you will have previous experience working within a credit control environment. This opportunity could also be suitable for a Finance Assistant/ Finance Administrator who is keen to look at diverse role focused on accounts receivable and credit control duties. You will also demonstrate:
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* The ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
* Experience using ERP systems, with SAP experience advantageous
* A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
* HND qualification in Business, Accounting or a related discipline would be beneficial
