Job based in Ayr
GTG Training is recruiting an Apprentice Parts Advisor on behalf of an independent garage. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a career in the automotive industry, gain a recognised qualification, and earn a wage while you learn.
What You'll Do
Working within a busy parts department, you'll learn to:
Receive, store and dispatch vehicle parts
Source parts for customers and technicians
Handle customer enquiries and provide advice
Process orders and update computer systems
Develop sales, communication and customer service skills
What will I learn? You'll work towards an SCQF Level 6 in Parts Distribution, combining hands-on workplace experience with training and support from GTG. You'll also gain knowledge of basic vehicle technology, sales techniques and parts identification.
What qualifications or qualities are required? National 4 or above in English and Maths (or expected to achieve)
Admin or Computer Studies qualification preferred but not essential
Enthusiastic, reliable and keen to learn
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
