Full Job Description

Due to expansion within the Projects Team, Sulzer Aberdeen is currently seeking candidates for the role of Customer Support Engineer / Customer Focal Point.

In this capacity, you will identify opportunities and effectively oversee the order book for designated clients, ensuring that all projects adhere to scheduled delivery dates and achieve the agreed-upon sales and margin expectations.

This position provides substantial job satisfaction, as the Customer Support Engineer / Customer Focal Point engages with all levels of the business and significantly influences the success of the contracts within their responsibility.

Your main tasks and responsibilities :

  • Regularly update clients on work progress, promptly addressing any deviations from plans to ensure transparent communication and the opportunity to revise plans.

  • Proactively manage the Sales funnel and ensure accurate data is maintained.

  • Liaise with technical, quality, and operations teams to prioritize and progress internal activities, always maintaining high-quality standards in the best interests of both the company and the client.

  • Collaborate with the Contracts Support Expeditor to monitor and ensure the timely receipt of external services, aligning with quality requirements specified in purchase orders.

  • Utilize data from various sources to generate consistently high-standard job costings, issue tenders, and ensure compliance with company rules, Delegation of Authority limits, and negotiated terms and conditions.

  • Contribute actively to the company's strategy, analyze market conditions, and play a supportive role within the Contracts Team.

    Capable and assured in customer interactions with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.

  • Technical knowledge of Rotating Equipment desirable but not essential. Candidates who can demonstrate strong technical capabilities will be considered.

  • Robust commercial awareness.

  • Previous experience in a related position, encompassing roles such as Projects, Contracts, Technical, or Commercial positions, among others.
