We are looking for a practical, reliable and hardworking Dairy Agricultural Engineer to join our service team. This is a varied, hands-on role offering excellent training and long-term development for someone with an interest in agriculture, engineering, machinery or mechanics.

The Role

You will work on farms across Scotland and Northern England, installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing dairy equipment. You will also attend breakdowns and emergency call-outs, provide general farm-based support when required and work directly with customers to ensure equipment is operating safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate work records and completing work orders promptly.
  • Providing professional and helpful customer service.
  • Looking after company tools, equipment and your company vehicle.
  • Following company health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Working to high standards and promoting a “Right First Time” approach.

About You

Previous experience in agricultural engineering, mechanical engineering, farming, machinery maintenance or another practical environment would be beneficial, but full agricultural engineering experience is not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

You should:

  • Have a practical, hands-on approach and strong work ethic.
  • Be interested in agriculture, engineering, mechanics or machinery.
  • Be confident using tools and equipment.
  • Be able to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • Work well as part of a close-knit team.
  • Have good communication and customer service skills.
  • Be comfortable completing basic computer-based administration.
  • Be flexible and willing to travel regularly.
  • Be willing to participate in the on-call rota.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Be reliable, punctual and committed to high standards of work.

What We Offer

  • Market-surveyed salary, reviewed annually.
  • Company vehicle.
  • Company tools and role-specific equipment.
  • Employer contributory pension scheme.
  • Staff discounts.
  • Company sick pay following the qualifying period.
  • Company clothing/uniform.
  • Health and work-related wellbeing support.
  • Full training and ongoing development.
  • Long-term career progression opportunities.
  • The chance to work with modern dairy technology and equipment.
  • A supportive, friendly, family-run working environment.

If you are practical, hardworking and keen to develop a long-term career in agricultural engineering and dairy technology, we would love to hear from you. Apply today with your CV and cover letter.
