Full Job Description

Caledonia Housing Group provide services to 5,345 homes and in excess of 2,000 factoring customers across 8 local authority areas.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Damp and Mould Surveyor within our Assets Department who will be fundamental in improving the quality of life for our tenants by addressing damp and mould issues through proactive maintenance and repair initiatives. The Damp and Mould Surveyor will ensure compliance with our comprehensive damp and mould procedures, which have been established to ensure tenant safety. The role will be performed across our areas of operation., Conduct detailed surveys and inspections of social housing properties to diagnose and assess, damp, mould and condensation issues.
- Preparing reports
- Liaising with tenants, contractors and internal teams to identify, instruct and manage remedial works, ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Ensure adherence to Group policies and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Budgetary management and identifying and implementing efficiencies
- Performance management of contractors and consultants
- Delivering high levels of customer care throughout project stages ranging from inception through to completion
Provide expert technical support, advice and guidance on damp and mould management to colleagues and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to survey findings, repair works, and compliance measures.

Will have a construction background with a minimum of an HNC in a property/ construction related discipline.
- Experience within a public sector organisation / housing association, however applications for other relevant experience and transferable skills will be considered.
- Proven experience as a surveyor or property maintenance professional
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing issues

A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this role.
