Nordic Region | Data Centre Construction | Permanent
Salary: Up to €110,000 depending on experience and responsibility

The Opportunity
Peace Recruitment is recruiting an experienced
Civil & Structural Project Manager
to join the
delivery team on a major
Data Centre project in the Nordic region
.
This is a senior site
-
based opportunity to take ownership of key
Civil, Structural and
Architectural (CSA)
packages on a large
-
scale, technically demanding project.
You'll be responsible for coordinating the CSA works from a programme, quality and delivery
perspective, managing subcontractors and site teams while working closely with planning,
design, engineering and commercial functions.
The position would suit an experienced CSA professional with a strong track record of delivering
complex construction packages who is looking to progress their career within the rapidly
expanding European data centre sector.
Key Responsibilities
•
Manage and coordinate the delivery of
Civil and Structural work packages
.
•
Take responsibility for day
-
to
-
day site operations across your allocated scope.
•
Manage
site QA
in conjunction with the wider project and quality teams.
•
Manage the project schedule alongside the
Planner, Project Managers, subcontractors
and consulting Engineers/Architects
.
•
Monitor subcontractor performance, including progress against programme and
manpower levels.
•
Lead weekly subcontractor progress meetings and ensure agreed actions are followed
through.
•
Ensure subcontractor documentation, including relevant
Health & Safety
documentation
, remains current and appropriately filed.
•
Attend and contribute to
Site Meetings, Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning
& Coordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
.
•
Liaise closely with the design team and project coordination team to ensure information
required for construction is prioritised and issued in accordance with programme
requirements.
•
Review construction drawings, specifications and setting
-
out information.
•
Identify and resolve design, coordination and site delivery issues.
•
Produce and issue regular reports to the wider project team.
•
Work closely with the commercial team, holding regular meetings to ensure
variations
and changes are identified, captured and costed
.
•
Ensure builders' works drawings associated with building services are appropriately
coordinated and incorporated into the CSA works.
•
Manage the identification, distribution and closeout of
CSA snags
.
•
Maintain visibility across the overall project programme while retaining control of
detailed technical and delivery requirements.
•
Drive subcontractors and site teams to achieve the required standards of
safety, quality
and programme delivery
.
Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally have:
•
A
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar discipline
.
•
At least
7 years' experience within the CSA/construction sector
.
•
A strong background in managing and delivering
CSA packages
.
•
Experience delivering
large
-
scale construction projects
.
•
Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, programming and sequencing.
•
Proven experience effectively managing subcontractors and project teams.
•
The ability to maintain an overview of the wider project while managing detailed
technical requirements.
•
Strong problem
-
solving and decision
-
making skills.
•
Good commercial awareness, particularly around variations and change management.
