Salary: Up to €105,000 depending on experience and responsibility

The Opportunity
Peace Recruitment is recruiting an experienced
Civil & Structural Engineer
Engineer
to join the
delivery team on a major
Data Centre project in the Nordic region
.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil
Engineer looking to gain further experience within the
rapidly expanding European data centre sector, working on a technically challenging, large
-
scale construction project.
You'll have a key site
-
based role supporting the successful delivery of the
Civil, Structural and
Architectural (CSA)
works, with responsibility across quality, subcontractor coordination,
technical documentation, programme and health & safety.
Key Responsibilities
•
Inspect completed and ongoing works to ensure the required
quality standards
are
consistently maintained.
•
Work closely with the Quality and QA teams to ensure completed works meet approved
project benchmarks and specifications.
•
Coordinate with QA management to ensure contractors submit the required
documentation accurately and on time.
•
Liaise directly with subcontractors and monitor progress against the project
programme.
•
Coordinate and participate in regular subcontractor and vendor meetings.
•
Manage project documentation relating to your scope, including
RFIs, technical
submittals, trackers and weekly/monthly reports
.
•
Attend and actively contribute to
Site Meetings, Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews,
Planning Meetings, Coordination Meetings, Look
-
Ahead Meetings and Handover
Meetings
.
•
Review construction drawings alongside the design team and assist in resolving
technical and site issues.
•
Monitor and snag subcontractor works to ensure installations are completed in
accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
•
Raise and manage snag lists, undertake follow
-
up inspections and ensure defects are
closed out in line with the project's Quality Management System.
•
Monitor subcontractor activities, including
programme progress and manpower levels
.
•
Ensure completed works are appropriately protected and raise observations where
required.
•
Coordinate works between trades, ensuring teams have sufficient time, materials and
resources to complete their scope in line with the programme.
•
Support site
Health & Safety
, housekeeping and material storage requirements.
•
Assist with daily permits and safety documentation and ensure works are completed in
accordance with approved
RAMS / Method Statements
.
•
Participate in daily coordination and whiteboard meetings to ensure contractors
understand current and upcoming activities.
Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally have:
•
A
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline
.
•
At least
3 years' experience
working on large
-
scale construction projects.
•
Previous
Data Centre experience
.
•
Experience working with Civil, Structural and/or Architectural packages.
•
A good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
•
Experience coordinating and monitoring subcontractor works.
•
Strong attention to detail, particularly around
quality control and project
documentation
.
•
The ability to work effectively using your own initiative while contributing to a
multidisciplinary project team.
