Salary: Up to €110,000 depending on experience and responsibility

The Opportunity
Peace Recruitment is recruiting an experienced
Senior Planner
to join the project team
delivering a major
Data Centre development in the Nordic region
.
This is a key planning position on a large
-
scale, technically demanding construction project,
offering the opportunity to take ownership of detailed project programmes across
pre
-
construction, construction and commissioning
.
You'll work closely with senior project management, engineering teams, subcontractors and
other key stakeholders to maintain programme control, monitor progress, identify risks and
ensure critical project milestones are achieved.
The position would suit an experienced construction Planner looking to take on a major
international project and further develop their career within the rapidly expanding European
data centre sector.
Key Responsibilities
•
Develop, maintain and regularly review detailed
master construction programmes
for
live projects.
•
Develop bid programmes to support and complement project submissions.
•
Establish and maintain effective
project controls and planning procedures
.
•
Develop and manage schedules covering
pre
-
construction, construction and
commissioning
activities.
•
Monitor project progress against the agreed baseline programme and maintain accurate
progress reporting.
•
Prepare and present detailed
programme and progress reviews
to senior management.
•
Work closely with project teams to identify potential programme risks, delays and
constraints.
•
Support proactive problem
-
solving and develop appropriate mitigation and recovery
strategies where required.
•
Liaise with project stakeholders to review progress and ensure key programme
requirements are understood.
•
Act as the
Planning representative
at client, project and subcontractor meetings.
•
Work closely with subcontractors to ensure their programmes are aligned with the
overall master construction programme.
•
Monitor key project milestones and critical
-
path activities.
•
Support the wider project team with programme analysis and planning information.
•
Maintain accurate and up
-
to
-
date project schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
•
Assist and support other project teams where required.
•
Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior planning and engineering team
members.
Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally have:
•
A degree in
Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
.
•
A minimum of
3 years' relevant construction planning experience
.
•
Previous experience working within a
main contractor environment is preferred
.
•
Strong experience developing and managing detailed construction programmes.
•
Experience working within
large
-
scale construction environments
.
•
Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, programme management and
project controls.
•
Experience using industry
-
standard planning software.
•
Strong knowledge of
Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject
.
•
Experience working with BIM would be advantageous.
•
Strong communication, leadership and problem
-
solving skills.
•
The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of project planning requirements.
•
A proactive, organised and results
-
driven approach.
•
The ability to communicate effectively with senior management, project teams, clients
and subcontractors.
