Depute Head Teacher - Fixed term until 21/4/2025
Towerbank Primary School

Salary: £66,072 per year
Hours: 35 per week

Staff wishing to apply for this post as a secondment, should have the permission of their line manager before submitting an application.

This is an exciting secondment opportunity to join our Leadership team. We are a large, friendly and inclusive school at the centre of our community close to the beach.

The post is for someone to lead and support learning and teaching across P5, P6 and P7 working with a dynamic, creative and positive staff team.

Towerbank is a large non-denominational primary school which serves the community of Portobello on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The current roll is 550 in the main school and 40 in the nursery. The management team currently consists of the Head Teacher, two Depute Head Teachers, a Principal Teacher and a Business Manager.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
