Join us at Barclays as a DevOps Engineer. At Barclays, you'll help build, run, and continuously improve resilient, secure, and scalable technology platforms that power critical banking services. You'll work closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to embed DevOps best practices and drive automation across the software delivery lifecycle., To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.,

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including running and supporting production workloads on platforms such as OpenShift, EKS, or ECS.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitLab CI, with a strong focus on automation and reliability.
  • Solid experience building and managing AWS infrastructure, with the ability to design solutions that balance cost, scalability, and resilience.
  • Desirable skills
  • Experience with CloudFormation, Service Catalog, and other AWS platform services.
  • Demonstrated ability to design infrastructure with clear visibility of costs, scaling strategies, and high availability.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices within large-scale or regulated environments.
