Full Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our growing team. As a Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex client engagements, driving significant business development, and shaping the strategic direction of our Finance Transformation offerings. This includes delivering exceptional client service, fostering innovation, and mentoring the next generation of Deloitte leaders. This role offers significant scope to build and scale our Controllership proposition. You will be expected to grow both delivery and market presence, particularly within priority sectors such as Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) and Financial Services (FSI), and with FTSE / large corporate clients. Leveraging our leading Technology & Transformation practice, we offer unrivalled career growth and learning opportunities. Successful candidates will lead the development of our market offering, drive significant revenue growth, and work closely with C-suite executives across a diverse client portfolio. Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of complex finance transformation strategies for major clients, focusing on controllership
- Business Development & Origination: Drive new business opportunities, expand existing client relationships, and significantly contribute to the growth of the Finance Transformation practice through proactive market engagement, pitch leadership, and proposal development.
- Client Delivery: Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements, running workstreams independently and ensuring high-quality outcomes. Act as a primary client contact and trusted advisor to C-suite executives and senior finance leaders on critical finance transformation matters.
- Thought Leadership: Develop and champion innovative solutions, market offerings, and thought leadership in finance transformation, controllership, emerging technologies (e.g., AI, automation, cloud finance platforms), and data analytics.
- People Management & Development: Provide mentoring and leadership to junior colleagues, actively contributing to team growth and development.
- Market Presence: Represent Deloitte at industry events, conferences, and through publications, enhancing our brand and market position.
A relevant degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. - Professional Qualification: ACA / CIMA / ACCA (or equivalent) is essential.
- Deep knowledge of Record to Report (R2R) and controllership processes
- Proven experience advising Financial Controllers and CFOs, demonstrating client engagement at this senior level.
- Extensive finance transformation experience, including process redesign, policy, control frameworks, and operating model design.
- Advisory/functional knowledge of leading ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday)
- Experience and awareness of controllership automation tools and platforms (e.g., BlackLine, FloQast, Workiva, other automation solutions) including Artificial Intelligence
