Lead advanced database design, analysis, administration and performance optimization to support complex processing needs and future business requirements.What You'll Be Doing:Provide technical leadership and management direction to database administration team membersManage resource allocations within a matrix-managed environmentLead, plan and oversee state-of-the-art database designs to solve complex database processing problemsPerform complex database analysis and database design tasks using advanced techniques on the forefront of

technologyEnsure databases meet required operational standards and performance levels, including reliability, response time and query execution timePrepare cost analyses and justification for difficult database systemsServe as a senior consultant to staff by providing strategic technical advice and consultation on database analysis and design reviewsParticipate in the administration, monitoring, tuning and support of databases in the production environmentWhat We Are Looking For:Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experienceTwelve (12) years of information technology experienceEight (8) years experience in the database administration areaExperience in clinical or regulated laboratory environments is helpfulExperience applying database design approaches that consider existing and future needs, capacity, limitations, operating time and desired resultsExperience evaluating database implementation approaches, backup strategies and recovery strategiesKnowledge of
