Disputed Wills Trusts and Estates Senior Solicitor

Experteer Overview In this role you contribute to a leading private wealth disputes practice, handling contentious trusts and probate matters. You will work closely with a senior Partner, manage a varied caseload with limited supervision, and support business development initiatives. The role offers national coverage across offices and opportunities to engage in high-value disputes, including multi-jurisdictional matters. You will help deliver top-tier private client advice within a full-service firm, shaping outcomes for high-net-worth clients. Pay / Benefits

• Assist partners with caseloads and proactively manage your own matters with limited supervision Supervise junior team members Draft documents and conduct legal research and investigations Attend conferences, court appearances, and client meetings Communicate with clients, counsel, and other parties Engage in business development and profile-raising initiatives (ConTrA, ACTAPS, STEP, NCPG) Work across Manchester/Newcastle/Leeds offices and potentially other offices Complete client and internal MI procedures Meet financial and chargeable targets and adhere to deadlines and KPIs Comply with policies and Weightmans' values Tasks At least 5 years' PQE or equivalent Strong interest in private client work, specifically contentious trusts and probate Exclusive focus on contentious probate Ability to navigate emotionally charged matters ACTAPS accreditation obtained or willingness to work towards Enthusiasm for attending contentious probate events nationally and abroad Extensive litigation experience with proven technical ability and track record Ability to meet deadlines and manage a caseload, delivering effective solutions Team player with initiative and a positive attitude Commercial, solution-driven, client-focused approach Strong legal and analytical skills with attention to detail Excellent organization and time-management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexible and agile working Key requirements
