Full Job Description
The Document Controller is responsible for providing comprehensive documentation support to the Production department. Ensuring the effective and efficient flow of the documentation process, working in collaboration with the wider team (Quality Assurance etc). Supporting with documentation generation, review and updates where necessary.,
- Complete administrative activities related to the generation of production documentation, updating of standard operating procedures, logbooks, forms etc
- Monitoring/tracking the return of the documentation as it flows through the production process, through to Quality Assurance
- Ensuring that systems and processes are developed, maintained, and improved to support effective and efficient running of production documentation
- Contribute to the development of new systems that will improve the documentation and supporting activities
- Support with product label creation and control
- Manage production records, scanning, filing, and archiving
- Complete general administrative tasks such as photocopying and shredding
- Work closely with other key departments within the business to promote compliance with the Pharmaceutical Quality Management System.
- Provide support with ad hoc project work, as required by the team or the wider business.
To be successful in this role, applicants need to have the following essential skills and experience: - Previous administration experience
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to develop relationships internally and externally to the business
- Computer literate - intermediate level of Word and Excel
- Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work with initiative, and driven to complete the task are vital to success in this role
- A willingness and desire to learn and take part in areas and projects outside of the scope of the role Desirable Skills and Experience
- Working knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Previous experience of working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing role
