Full Job Description

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to join a dynamic team onsite with one of our key clients in Scotland, where you will effectively manage and maintain all project documentation on a large project efficiently and accurately, whilst maintaining quality and adhering to business standards.

You will provide effective document control support to the client and the wider project team while maintaining a working knowledge of the EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) and being a reliable and approachable point of contact in providing support and guidance to the project team (internal and external) in using the system and following document control procedures.

This role is a 2-year permanent full-time fixed-term contract, with the potential to be extended. This role is an on site based position that will require you to have your own transport.

Key Objectives

  • Ensure that information and documentation processed and issued on the project is compliant with requirements and is of a suitably high standard.

  • Provide effective document control support to project team.

  • Maintain a working knowledge around the project document control system.

  • Be a team player and work well with others.

  • Prioritise responsibilities and workload.

  • Be a reliable and approachable point of contact for staff and external parties.

    Sound educational background or equivalent in work experience

  • Proven document control experience using electronic document management systems essential

  • Knowledge of Viewpoint for Projects is essential

  • Knowledge of Fieldview is advantageous.

  • Experience of working within a main contractor environment essential

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with internal and external teams
