Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team of Support Services staff within St Andrews Community Hospital working 21 hours per week.

You will be required to carry out general cleaning duties within the wards and departments. You will have a positive attitude towards work and also have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team. Full training will be given.

This post will involve mainly working evenings and occasional weekends.

We offer excellent rate of pay, £12.11 per hour, with enhanced rates paid for weekend work.  Uniform and PPE supplied, access to workplace pension scheme along with excellent holiday entitlement, 27 days on commencement, and family friendly policies.

Please note the salary scale for this post is pro rata for part time hours.

For informal enquiries please contact Margaret Law, Hotel Services Supervisor on between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.
