Full Job Description
Job purpose: To work for a family run group of 4 nurseries located in the centre of Edinburgh (Bruntsfield and Leith). The nursery has a strong nurturing environment that allows staff to develop and flourish. We are heavily focused on outdoor experiences and developing our forest/beach schools approach. The position would be 40 hrs a week over 5 days on staggered shifts. You would gain experience of different age groups and be supported.
What will I learn? You will work toward the practitioner qualification -Social Services (Children and Young People) SVQ3 at SCQF level 7 which will take approximately 18 months. You will be supported in the workplace to learn all aspects of the role and addition will attend off the job training workshops.
What qualifications or qualities are required? We are looking for a caring individual who is focused on the children and interested in supporting their wellbeing and development. They must have a positive attitude and be eager to learn and develop. Good communication skills and reliability required. At least National 5 English or equivalent preferred.
