Early Years Practitioner - Fixed term until 28/08/2026
Gylemuir Primary School

Salary: £30,188 - £34,452
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks

Shift patterns are 07.45 -15.30 and 10.15 - 18.00

We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our enthusiastic and committed early years team. You will be working in our in Early Years Hub (Terrific 2), where you will support and nurture our 2 to 3 year olds. Our nursery is open 52 weeks per year the team work in shift patterns to provide excellent care from 8am to 6pm. To be considered for this role you will hold an HNC in Childcare and Education or SVQ Level 3 or Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
