- The chance to make a meaningful environmental impact every day The role This is a predominantly site-based position, with time allocated for reporting and project coordination. You'll play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance during construction phases across a range of projects.,
- Acting as the on-site environmental/ecological advisor
- Ensuring compliance with environmental commitments, planning conditions, and legislation
- Supporting pollution prevention and environmental best practice
- Delivering toolbox talks and engaging site teams
- Collecting water quality samples and monitoring site performance
- Attending and contributing to site meetings
- Producing clear and accurate ECoW logs and reports
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and project managers
- Supporting surveys, documentation, and environmental planning
- Contributing to Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
- Working closely with senior ecologists and project teams
- Playing an active role in our ECoW community of practice
Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline - Minimum 3 years' experience in an ECoW, EnvCoW or Environmental Advisor role
- Strong report writing skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong health & safety awareness and site experience
- Full UK driving licence Desirable:
- Membership of CIEEM (or working towards)
- Valid CSCS card
- Knowledge of UK environmental legislation and guidance
- Experience with protected species (support available if not)
- Project management skills with the ability to deliver to time and budget
