Electrical Engineer, Water Projects - Hybrid & Growth

Job Overview As an Electrical Engineer you will support the design and delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including the Scottish Water SR27 Enterprise programme (2027-2033, 2029-2035). You will work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to design excellence at scale while promoting value-adding solutions for our clients. Responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support.
• Design and review electrical and ICA elements in wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects (e.g., chemical dosing, pumping stations, sludge treatment units).
• Produce and review client deliverables including calculations, drawings and technical reports to relevant standards and procedures.
• Liaise and collaborate with water and other discipline teams - civil, electrical, process and mechanical engineers nationwide.
• Visit sites to conduct surveys and support liaison with clients, contractors & suppliers.
• Attend and contribute to design review meetings such as HAZOPs, HAZIDs and SWIFTS.
Qualifications
• A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution, such as IET.
• Proven ability to deliver engineering designs, reports, drawings, technical specifications and calculations with confidence and precision.
• Hands-on experience in delivering innovative solutions for water and wastewater engineering projects.
